Summary

Junior Architect at a design-build experiential environments firm, producing Revit drawings, models, and documentation for tenant improvements, interiors, renovations, and ground-up projects under a Senior Project Architect, from early design through construction administration and closeout. Core tools: Revit and Bluebeam; SketchUp/Rhino/Adobe useful.

About the Role
Dimensional Innovations (DI) is seeking a Junior Architect to support architectural design and documentation under the direction of the Senior Project Architect. Your primary focus will be drawings and project information for tenant improvements, interiors, renovations, and ground-up work, including architectural scope within DI's experiential environments. The Senior Project Architect will delegate assignments, establish priorities, provide technical direction, and review your work. You will translate sketches, markups, and approved decisions into coordinated documents, working with engineers, DI Build, and fabrication teams. You will contribute from early design through closeout, with most of your time focused on documentation. Documents and responses will be reviewed before issue; signing and sealing drawings is not part of this role.

What You Will Do
Architectural Documentation
• Complete drawing and modeling assignments delegated by the Senior Project Architect, following project standards, approved design direction, and agreed deadlines.
• Develop Revit plans, demolition drawings, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, details, and door and finish schedules appropriate to your experience.
• Incorporate review markups and approved revisions; update related views, dimensions, notes, schedules, and sheet references so the documents remain consistent.
• Assist with material research, product information, specification updates, drawing set assembly, and permit submission packages under the senior architect's direction.

Design and Coordination Support
• Assist with field measurements, existing-condition documentation, programming diagrams, space plans, and design studies as assigned.
• Update architectural models using reviewed consultant information. Check interfaces with structural and MEP systems, millwork, exhibits, and technology; flag conflicts for review.
• Prepare coordination views and sketches, document decisions, and incorporate approved solutions into the architectural drawings.
• Check your work before review. Track assignments and revisions, communicate progress, and flag missing information or schedule impacts. Route design decisions and unresolved technical questions to the Senior Project Architect.

Construction Administration and Closeout Support
• Assist with submittal and RFI logs, drawing updates, and draft responses for the Senior Project Architect's review; maintain current project records.
• Attend site visits and coordination meetings as assigned. Prepare field notes, photographs, meeting notes, and punch list updates for review.
• Help assemble architectural record information, approved revisions, and closeout documents in coordination with the Senior Project Architect and DI Build.

Core Skills and Experience• Degree in architecture and approximately 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in an architecture, interiors, or design-build practice. Relevant internship experience may be considered.• Working Revit proficiency, including creating and updating plans, sections, elevations, schedules, sheets, and basic architectural details.
• Foundational understanding of construction documents, building materials, assemblies, and architectural drawing conventions; basic familiarity with code and accessibility requirements.
• Ability to interpret sketches and markups, follow technical direction, organize files, and carry assigned tasks through review and revision. Include technical drawing samples in your portfolio and identify your contribution.
• Attention to detail, clear communication, and willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and learn how design decisions affect fabrication and construction.

Tools and Methods
• Revit for architectural modeling and documentation; Bluebeam or equivalent tools for PDF review, markups, and drawing comparisons.
• Familiarity with shared files, drawing revisions, and issue tracking. SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools are useful additional skills.

Nice to Have
• Experience documenting tenant improvements or commercial interiors, including casework, finishes, ceiling coordination, or custom details.
• Exposure to construction sites, fabrication, shop drawings, branded environments, or exhibit design; interest in architectural licensure.

What Success Looks Like• You deliver accurate, organized drawings for the senior architect's review on schedule.• You apply feedback, flag coordination questions early, and communicate progress.
• You take on more complex documentation assignments as your technical skills grow.
