Junior Architect
Summary
Designs and models 2D/3D CAD components and assemblies for new and existing manufacturing products, working with engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and performance.
Your Company:
NET Recruit is proud to be partnering with a highly successful and innovative manufacturing business in their search for a Junior Architect to join their design and engineering team. With a strong reputation for quality, precision, and product innovation, this organisation continues to develop and manufacture technically advanced products and is now looking for an experienced design professional to support the development of both new and existing product ranges.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and technically focused environment, where you will work closely with design, engineering, production, and technical teams to develop practical, high-quality solutions from initial concepts through to production.
Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this position, your duties may include but are not limited to:
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have a strong background in design engineering, architectural design, product development, or a closely related manufacturing environment, together with proven experience using both 2D and 3D CAD software.
Experience working within a manufacturing or product design environment is essential, with the ability to understand how products are designed, assembled, manufactured, and ultimately brought into production. You will need to demonstrate strong technical drawing and modelling capabilities, together with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to design.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software is essential, with experience using platforms such as Siemens NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Inventor, or similar systems being highly advantageous. Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel would also be beneficial.
You will have a strong understanding of engineering principles and be confident reviewing complex designs, identifying potential issues, and developing practical solutions. The ability to understand how different components and systems interact within a wider product will be particularly important.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you will work closely with engineering, design, production, and other internal teams. You should be comfortable communicating technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and be confident visiting production environments to understand how designs translate into practical manufacture.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, accurate, and capable of working to tight deadlines without compromising the quality of their work. You will also be a proactive team player who is keen to develop their technical expertise and take ownership of increasingly complex projects.
What You Will Get in Return:
In return for your skills and experience, the company is offering a competitive salary, dependent on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to join a highly respected and innovative manufacturing organisation.
You will become part of a technically skilled and collaborative team, working on a varied portfolio of projects where your design expertise will have a direct influence on the development and manufacture of new products.
The business is committed to investing in its people and offers ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to broaden your technical knowledge and take on greater responsibility as your experience develops.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced design professional looking to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking manufacturing environment, working on technically interesting projects and collaborating with experienced engineering and production teams.
If you are looking for a role where you can take ownership of complex design projects, contribute to product innovation, and continue developing your technical career, this could be an excellent opportunity for your next move.
