Junior Area Manager (South West)

About Us

The Field Sales team is a core part of Dyson’s Sales Department. As a Junior Area Manager, you will play an important role in driving product sales and building awareness of the Dyson brand across a defined portfolio of retail stores within the South West region.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into a regional leadership role. You will gain hands-on experience in sales performance management, people leadership, retailer engagement, and commercial operations while working closely with experienced Area Managers and the wider Field Sales team.

Regionally based, you will collaborate with Account Managers, Marketing, Finance, and Retail Operations teams to help deliver Dyson’s sales strategy across your territory.

About the Role

  • Support the delivery of Dyson sales targets across a portfolio of retail stores in the South West.

  • Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve sales and brand visibility.

  • Work with retail partners to increase awareness and distribution of Dyson products.

  • Maintain regular store visit schedules through effective diary and journey planning.

  • Assist in executing regional sales initiatives and promotional activities.

  • Build strong relationships with Store Managers, Department Managers, and retail colleagues.

  • Analyse store performance data and provide recommendations to improve results.

  • Ensure reports and store feedback are completed accurately and on time.

  • Lead, coach and motivate your team to achieve daily, weekly and monthly targets.

  • Ensure Dyson displays are clean, compliant and visually engaging.

  • Provide regular updates on store visits, sales performance and retailer feedback.

About You

  • Previous experience in a retail, sales, field sales or customer-facing environment.

  • Experience leading, coaching or mentoring others, either formally or informally.

  • Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.

  • Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Good planning, organisation and time management skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Comfortable working with sales data and performance metrics.

  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.

  • Self-motivated, proactive and results driven.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively throughout the South West region.
