About the Role
We are seeking a technically adept and passionate Junior Audio Engineer to join our post-production team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual eager to develop their skills in a professional studio environment. On-the-job training will be provided. You will work on a variety of projects, including [e.g., commercials, corporate videos, short films, and digital content], assisting senior engineers and handling core audio tasks from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Audio Editing & Dialogue: Perform dialogue editing, including cleaning up background noise, removing clicks/pops, and syncing ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) .
- Sound Design & Foley: Assist in creating and editing sound effects and Foley to enhance the narrative and emotional impact of productions.
- Mixing & Session Management: Prepare and mix audio files using Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), primarily Pro Tools. This includes organizing audio assets and ensuring proper file management.
- Technical Operations: Operate and maintain audio recording and mixing equipment. Troubleshoot basic technical issues as they arise during sessions.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on all audio deliverables to ensure they meet client and technical specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with directors, producers, editors, and other team members to achieve the desired sound and adhere to project deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, Music Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in audio post-production. Internships or substantial project work will be considered.
- Software Proficiency: Highly developed skills in Avid Pro Tools. Familiarity with Cubase. Logic Pro is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of audio principles, signal flow, and standard audio formats (e.g., .aaf,.omf,.wav, .mp3, .ptx).
- Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential.
