JUNIOR AV SERVICE ENGINEER
Role Summary
We are looking for a Junior AV ServiceEngineer to provide preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and technicalsupport for audio-visual (AV) and collaboration systems at customer sites. Thisrole is ideal for ITE/NITEC fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2years of relevant experience who are passionate about technology and eagerto develop hands-on skills in AV systems, customer support, and systemmaintenance. The successful candidate will work closely with senior engineerswhile gaining practical experience and progressively taking on greater responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend onsite service calls, preventive maintenance visits, and provide technical support at customer locations.
- Perform Level 1 troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and basic configuration of AV and video conferencing systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, testing, cable checks, and system health verification.
- Assist senior engineers with equipment installation, commissioning, repairs, and complex troubleshooting.
- Prepare and submit accurate service reports, maintain service records, and update service tickets after each visit.
- Provide professional customer support, basic user guidance, and escalate unresolved technical issues when required.
- Maintain service tools, test equipment, and spare parts in good working condition while complying with company safety and security procedures.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend maintenance or upgrade opportunities to improve system performance.
Requirements
- NITEC or Higher NITEC in Electronics, Electrical, Infocomm, Audio-Visual Technology, or a related discipline.
- Fresh ITE/NITEC graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in AV service, IT support, electronics, or a related field will have an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of AV equipment, video conferencing systems, cabling, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and IP networking.
- Able to use basic hand tools and test equipment, and follow technical procedures and service documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and customer-focused approach.
- Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, willing to learn, and able to work independently when required.
- Willing to travel to customer sites across Singapore and support after-hours or weekend work when required.
- Experience with platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, or Shure is an advantage.
- AVIXA CTS, ITIL Foundation, or a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence will be an added advantage.
