Junior Azure Data Engineer

Join Rabobank as a Junior Azure Data Engineer at the Information Factory Payments & Savings (IFP) and help transform payments and savings data into valuable insights. IFP is a key data warehouse that processes vast amounts of payments and savings data daily, turning them into information products for business partners and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing new functionalities within the Information Factory Payments & Savings.
• Contribute to ETL processes to fetch, model, and integrate data into the data warehouse, preparing it for reporting or data products.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers, Business Analysts, Data DevOps engineers and Product Owner to deliver data solutions according to standards.
• Support dashboard development for product managers and reporting functionality for daily banking operations.
• Maintain regulatory reporting to the Dutch National Bank and the Dutch tax authority.
• Learn and apply data governance, security, and performance optimization practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT, data or related field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in data engineering or related role (internship welcome).
• Knowledge and experience with Databricks, Azure and cloud technologies.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, DBT and Python.
• Experience with PowerBI is a plus.
• Knowledge of ETL and data modelling, preferably dimensional modelling.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proactive, eager to learn, and motivated for professional development.
