Cyber Security is one of the most important priorities for Binnies, and we're looking for a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to join our growing team.
Reporting to the Cyber Security Lead, you'll play a key role in safeguarding our technology environment and protecting the information of approximately 1,600 colleagues across the UK and APAC. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your cyber security career while helping to strengthen the resilience of a leading engineering and environmental consultancy.
You'll work closely with technical teams, service providers and stakeholders across the business to support cyber security operations, improve security controls and contribute to Binnies' ongoing ISO 27001 journey.

What You'll Be Doing
Supporting the day-to-day operation of IT security services across the business
Monitoring, investigating and responding to security alerts and incidents
Maintaining and improving security controls, policies and procedures
Supporting compliance with ISO 27001 and wider information security requirements
Working with IT teams and third-party providers to implement security best practices
Supporting vulnerability management activities, risk assessment and remediation tracking
Assisting with internal and external security audits, assessments and penetration testing
Producing security reports, metrics and audit evidence
Supporting cyber security awareness initiatives and promoting secure behaviours across the business
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience in an IT Security, Cyber Security or Security Operations role
Exposure to incident response, security monitoring and vulnerability management
Knowledge of technologies such as:Firewalls
Endpoint Protection
SIEM platforms
Email Security
Identity & Access Management
Vulnerability Management tools
Understanding of Microsoft security technologies, including Azure and Microsoft 365
Knowledge of ISO 27001 and information security risk management principles
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to explain technical concepts and risks to different audiences
Desirable
Knowledge of network security, encryption and privileged access management
Experience supporting security audits and compliance activities
Relevant cyber security certifications or working towards professional accreditation
