Based at our head office in Milton, next door to the iconic Suncorp Stadium, you will be working within the Information, Digital & Technology team.
The Junior Cyber Security Analyst plays a key role in protecting yourtown's systems, data, and digital infrastructure. You will investigate security incidents, support risk mitigation activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls across the organisation. Working closely with technical teams and stakeholders, you'll help ensure a safe and secure technology environment that supports our mission and services.
your role will include:
- Monitor and respond to cyber security events, incidents, and emerging threats
- Investigate and analyse security issues, identifying root causes and impacts
- Manage phishing investigations, awareness activities, and prevention initiatives
- Support security audits, assessments, and continuous improvement activities
- Prepare reports and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders

This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate or suitably qualified candidate looking to launch a career in cyber security. You are naturally curious, detail-oriented, and eager to develop your skills in a hands-on security role. With a strong foundation in information technology, computer science, or cyber security, you enjoy investigating problems, learning from experienced professionals, and contributing to meaningful work. Most importantly, you are excited by the opportunity to help protect the systems and information that support services for young people and communities
You will bring:
- Degree qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- A genuine interest in cyber security operations, threat management, and continuous learning
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a high-performing team environment
