JUNIOR DATA ANALYST – MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS & PLANNING

Salary: RM 3,000 – RM 4,000 per month

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Data Analytics

• Extract, consolidate, validate and analyze data from ERP and other manufacturing systems.

• Develop and maintain operational dashboards, reports and analytical tools using Excel, SQL, Power BI or similar technologies.

• Analyze key manufacturing indicators including production output, WIP, machine utilization, capacity, lead time, order status, schedule adherence and delivery performance.

• Identify trends, abnormalities, bottlenecks and potential risks through data analysis.

• Improve the accuracy, consistency and reliability of operational and management reporting.

ERP & Manufacturing Systems

• Develop a strong understanding of ERP manufacturing processes, data structures and business logic.

• Support analysis and improvement of manufacturing master data including products, machines, processes, routings, standard production times and capacity-related parameters.

• Work with users to identify system or data issues affecting production visibility and operational decision-making.

• Participate in ERP enhancement, system integration, automation and digitalization projects.

• Support user requirement analysis, testing, implementation and continuous improvement of manufacturing-related systems.

Production Planning Analytics

• Support PPC and Production teams by analyzing customer orders, production requirements, available capacity, WIP status and delivery priorities.

• Develop analytical models and reports to compare production demand against available capacity.

• Analyze planned versus actual production performance and identify causes of schedule deviation.

• Support analysis of production bottlenecks, machine loading, resource constraints and order prioritization.

• Provide data-driven recommendations to improve production flow, schedule adherence and on-time delivery.

• Assist in scenario analysis and simulation for changing production priorities, capacity constraints and delivery requirements.

Business Process Improvement

• Work closely with Production, PPC, Warehouse, Quality, Sales, Supply Chain and other departments to understand operational processes.

• Investigate operational and production issues using data and root-cause analysis.

• Recommend process, system and data improvements to improve manufacturing efficiency and decision-making.

• Participate in continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualification

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in one of the following or related fields:

• Industrial Engineering

• Manufacturing Engineering

• Supply Chain / Operations Management

• Operations Research

• Business Analytics / Data Analytics

• Information Systems

• Statistics / Mathematics

• Computer Science

Added Advantage:

• Experience with ERP, MRP, MES or manufacturing systems.

• Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, inventory, WIP or capacity planning.

• Knowledge of Python or other analytical/programming tools.

• Exposure to APS or production scheduling software.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
