Emagine is seeking a Junior Data Engineer/Analyst to join a collaborative, dynamic project environment in Portugal. This role is ideal for a junior professional with 1 to 2 years of experience in data engineering and/or data analysis, looking to develop their technical skills in a challenging environment, with a strong focus on SQL, Python or Go, data extraction, and data modelling.
You will work with data engineering and analytics activities, supporting data extraction and modelling processes, working with SQL and data visualization, and contributing to the development and improvement of data solutions. This opportunity is particularly suited to a proactive professional with consolidated knowledge of SQL and Python or Go, and a strong willingness to learn and grow within a data-focused environment.
What You'll Be Working On
Support data extraction and preparation activities across different data sources.
Develop and maintain SQL queries to support data analysis and engineering activities.
Contribute to data modelling and structuring processes.
Support the development of data solutions using Python and/or Go.
Create and maintain data visualizations to support analysis and business insights.
Work with Git for version control and collaborative development.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other technical stakeholders to support data-related initiatives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes and solutions.
What We're Looking For
1 to 2 years of professional experience in Data Engineering and/or Data Analysis.
Solid knowledge of SQL.
Experience with data visualization.
Background in data extraction and data modelling.
Experience with Python and/or Go.
Experience working with Git and version control.
Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Professional level of English.
Nice to Have
Exposure to both data engineering and data analysis activities.
Experience working with different data sources and data transformation processes.
Interest in developing further expertise in data engineering and analytics.
Location & Eligibility
Candidates must be based in Portugal.
Hybrid working model - 2/3x per week, Lisbon.
