Junior Data Engineer

--Cognify Analytics, FB Area, Block 4, Karachi--

We are looking for a Junior Data Engineer to join our onsite team in Karachi. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience who want to build their career in data engineering, data pipelines, databases, and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines
• Work with databases and write SQL queries
• Clean, transform, and organize data for reporting and analysis
• Support data extraction from different sources and APIs
• Help improve data quality, accuracy, and consistency
• Work with engineering and analytics teams on real-world data projects

Required Skills

• Good understanding of SQL
• Basic knowledge of Python
• Understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar
• Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts
• Strong problem-solving mindset
• Willingness to learn data engineering tools and best practices

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of APIs
• Familiarity with pandas or data cleaning in Python
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Any academic, internship, or personal project related to data

Requirements

• Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Must be available for a full-time onsite role in Karachi. Timings (11 am to 8 pm)
