Position Objective
Provide additional data engineering capacity to support DAT’s expanded mandate of building, operating, and governing enterprise data capabilities by maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, supporting regulatory and audit requirements, and enabling scalable analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities
1. Develop, maintain, and support data pipelines, datasets, integrations, and reporting solutions.
2. Build and enhance finance-focused tools, platforms, and automated workflows to support month-end closing, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes.
3. Perform data extraction, preparation, transformation, validation, and reconciliation to deliver trusted and reliable data assets.
4. Collaborate with Finance and business users to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
5. Support Sigma datasets, dashboards, enterprise reporting, and analytical solutions.
6. Assist in the development of data collection frameworks and analytical datasets for machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics initiatives.
7. Prepare and curate data required for statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and experimentation.
8. Monitor data quality and provide timely resolution of data-related issues and requests.
9. Maintain technical documentation, metadata, and data lineage.
10. Support regulatory, audit, and data governance requirements.
11. Support the Data team seniors to deliver the key projects of the department (Project Data & Project Sigma)

Requirements
• Degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Basic knowledge of SQL, data modelling, ETL/data integration concepts, and relational databases.
• Familiarity with data visualisation and BI tools (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, Power BI) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively with stakeholders, and support operational and project-based activities.
• Willingness to learn modern data platforms, cloud technologies, data governance, and analytics best practices
