Initial 6-Month Contract
A leading Southwest-based business is looking to bring in a Data Engineer to join its growing Data & Analytics team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a range of strategic data initiatives while developing your skills within a modern cloud-based data environment.
You'll join a collaborative, cross-functional team working alongside experienced Data Engineers, Analysts, Product Managers and business stakeholders to help deliver trusted, scalable data solutions that drive business insights and customer value.
The organisation is investing heavily in its data platform, with a modern stack including Snowflake, dbt and AWS , providing an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with industry-leading technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines and data products
Assist with building and enhancing data models and transformation processes
Help deliver scalable data ingestion solutions within AWS and Snowflake
Monitor and improve data quality, testing and platform reliability
Work closely with senior engineers to adopt data engineering best practices
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a Data Engineering role
Strong SQL skills and a good understanding of relational databases
Proven Snowflake and AWS skills
Experience with data modelling and data transformation concepts
Understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
