Junior Data Processing Software Engineer (Aerospace)

ALTEC S.p.A. seeks a Junior Software Engineer (Data Processing) to join the team responsible for software data processing systems in the aerospace ground segment.

You will work with data engineers, data scientists, mission operators and infrastructure engineers on design, implementation and maintenance of software components. You will contribute to software design, coding, testing and documentation, and prepare system-related materials such as design notes and test reports.

Design, implement and maintain software data processing systems. Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, operators and infrastructure engineers. Develop software components, codes, tests and documentation. Prepare system documentation (design notes, user manuals, test procedures). Perform debugging, troubleshooting and profiling in distributed environments. Participate in technical meetings. MSc or equivalent degree in software or computer engineering. Knowledge of UML in the software engineering process. Proficiency in Java and Python. Experience with object-oriented and functional programming. Familiarity with microservices and distributed software design. Knowledge of message queues and data flows. Experience with SpringBoot/NodeJS for microservices. SQL databases and data handling. Familiarity with GitLab, Maven and CI tools. Linux and scripting knowledge.
