We are currently recruiting for a Junior Data Protection & Information Security Assistant to join our Team!
Contract Type: Part-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 24 hours / 3 Days Per Week
Location: Armagh
We are looking for an enthusiastic and inquisitive individual to join our team as a Junior Data Protection & Information Security Assistant.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for a recent graduate or someone at the beginning of their professional career who wants to develop specialist knowledge in data protection, privacy, compliance, and information security.
No previous data protection experience is required. Full training, mentoring, and ongoing support will be providedby our experienced Data Protection Lead, giving you the opportunity to build practical skills and progress into a trusted data protection professional.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery and administration of the company's data protection and information security programmes.
- Assist with maintaining compliance records, policies, procedures, privacy documentation, and Records of Processing Activities (ROPA).
- Help manage data protection requests, impact assessments, incidents, risk assessments, audits, and other compliance activities.
- Support information security awareness, risk monitoring, access control reviews, and good data handling practices across the organisation.
- Assist with maintaining data retention and deletion processes and ensuring information is managed appropriately throughout its life cycle.
- Support the review of data sharing agreements, third-party processor arrangements, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Develop an understanding of common cyber security risks and threats, including phishing, social engineering, malware, and information security best practices.
- Work with colleagues across all departments to promote a culture of privacy, compliance, and information security.
- Develop the knowledge and skills needed to progressively take ownership of day-to-day data protection activities.
