Salary: $4,000 – $6,000 per month
About the role
This is a junior developer seat with a clear path into technical leadership. You will write product code from week one, report to our Technical Lead, and own features end to end: understand the problem, design a clean solution, ship it, test it, and stand behind it. Strong performance opens a path toward architecture, mentoring later hires, and eventually the CTO function as Equilux scales.
Key responsibilities
Build and ship product features across mobile, web, backend and AI tooling
Use AI coding tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor as a daily multiplier, not as a substitute for thinking
Work with real energy data, APIs and user-facing flows for the Energy Assistant
Own features from requirements through implementation, testing and release
Write clear English in pull requests, documentation and day-to-day communication
Work closely with the Technical Lead, challenge ideas and help raise the engineering bar
Grow into system design, engineering standards and mentoring as the team expands
About you
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent ability shown through strong projects
1 to 3 years of professional software development. Internships and substantial personal projects count.
Excellent written and spoken English. This is required.
Solid fundamentals: data structures, object-oriented design, APIs and Git
Comfortable owning work without close supervision
Willing to go deep on Flutter, Python and AI-assisted development if you are not already there
Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident
Hands-on Flutter and/or Python
Daily use of Claude, Cursor, Copilot or similar as a working partner
Backend experience in Java, Python, Node or similar, plus SQL and releases into SIT, UAT or Production
