Junior Developer
About the role
The Junior Developer role will work in collaboration with the development team to create high-level programs that meet the client's needs. Reporting to the Senior Developer, this role works across a variety of projects, infrastructure and languages. The Junior Developer will work with talented developers on new and existing products that keep the creatives happy. As well as that, the role will also work on internal tools and documentation to enable our Operations team to be as effective as possible.
Key responsibilities
Troubleshooting and debugging code, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
Recommending and executing program improvements
Contribute to the documentation of software systems, including technical specifications, user manuals, and guidelines
Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain software applications
Participate in code reviews
Use AWS services to facilitate clean integrations of products with clients
Work with Microservice architecture to build various services for use in all the different stages of the film production pipeline
Writing performant and stable code with supervision
Respond to support requests and evaluate user feedback to suggest possible solutions
Constant communication with clients and collaborate with team members within the hybrid working environment
About you
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field such as IT
0-2 years of experience in a development environment
1-2 years of software development experience
Experience in Python, and Front-end technology like REACT
Technical Knowledge of OS, software applications, hardware components, networking concepts
Ability to clearly articulate complex issues and work effectively with other team members and our clients
Willing to learn new skills and take on varying responsibilities
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions
