Junior DevOps Engineer
Summary
Partao is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to manage and optimize their AWS infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for their industrial parts marketplace. The role involves containerizing applications with Docker, monitoring system health, and collaborating with development teams to ensure reliable deployments.
About Partao
Partao is building the global marketplace for heavy-machinery parts — a single platform that connects buyers and sellers across the industry. With 2,000+ brands and more than 5 million SKUs, we make sourcing faster, smarter, and more reliable by helping people find the exact part that fits their machine.
We’re focused on doing the right things well — first. That means building something useful, something real, with impact that lasts. If you want to be part of a fast-moving team shaping a marketplace at global scale, Partao is the place to do it.
About the Role
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer with a builder’s mindset, someone eager to get stuck into our cloud ops and release pipelines. You’ll be making sure deployments are smooth, systems are reliable, and the team can move fast without breaking production.
This role is perfect for someone early in their DevOps career who wants to own real responsibilities in a fast-moving startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize our AWS infrastructure (S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for quick, reliable deployments.
- Work with Docker to containerize and scale apps.
- Monitor system health and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with frontend (React/Next.js) and backend (Python, SQL, PHP, Magento, Kafka) teams on deployment needs.
- Automate repetitive tasks with scripts and tools.
Requirements
- Experience in DevOps, Cloud Ops, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Hands-on AWS experience (S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2).
- Familiarity understanding and work experience with Docker.
- Experience setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Good written and verbal communication in English.
- Willingness to thrive in an early-stage, fast-changing startup environment.
Bonus Points
- Magento hosting / scaling experience.
- Exposure to event-driven systems (Kafka).
- Basic understanding of security and compliance.
- Experience working in a marketplace, industrial/long-tail B2B environment, or sectors like construction, agriculture, or automotive
- Prior role in an early-stage startup with budget responsibility and autonomy
What We Offer
- Opportunity to join a growing, VC-backed startup in a pivotal marketing role, gaining exposure to both B2B and B2C growth strategies across international markets
- High autonomy with direct impact on growth and branding strategy
- A culture of speed, data-driven decision-making, and transparency
