Part-time junior DevOps engineer maintains AWS cloud infrastructure, responds to incidents, and automates deployments using Terraform and scripting for multiple client projects.

About the role
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support and maintain infrastructure across several small client projects.
This is a part-time role with involvement of up to 60 hours per month. There are no fixed working hours - when everything is stable, work is planned and agreed in advance. When an issue arises, we expect a response within 2 hours.
You will work autonomously, so strong ownership and written communication skills are important.
English level B1+ is required for async communication with clients and the team.

Responsibilities
Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure across multiple projects
Respond to infrastructure incidents and resolve issues in a timely manner
Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform
Support and improve CI/CD pipelines
Write and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash)
Apply basic security practices across environments
Document changes and communicate updates clearly in writing

Required Skills
Confident Linux administration (users, permissions, services, troubleshooting)
Solid understanding of computer networking (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, routing)
Hands-on experience with AWS
Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools
Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and pipelines
Basic understanding of security principles
Strong written English — async communication is the default

Nice to have
Experience with Docker and container orchestration
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, etc.)
Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms
