Hayleys Fabric PLC

Hayleys Fabric PLC, a Subsidiary of Hayleys PLC, situated at Neboda, Horana, is engaged in the manufacture of fabric. This fabric is used by the leading garment makers in Sri Lanka for the manufacture of garments for world renowned retail brands. We are a company listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange and also is the pioneer in weft knit fabric manufacture in Sri Lanka.

We are looking for personnel from the Apparel/Fabric industry in the following category. Remuneration will depend on your experience and is negotiable. As the manufacturing facility is located in Horana, transport facilities are available from Colombo (Hayleys Group Head Office), Katukurunda, Panadura, Bandaragama, Horana, Lewwanduwa, Nagashandiya (Kalutara), Govinna, Bulathsinhala and Agalawatta to Factory in Neboda.

Junior Executive – Engineering (Condition Monitoring/Predictive Maintenance Engineer)

We are looking for dynamic and technically skilled professional with strong engineering knowledge, analytical abilities, and a passion for enhancing equipment reliability through predictive maintenance practices. The ideal candidate should possess a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to driving operational excellence and continuous improvement in plant performance.

With strong technical, communication, and analytical skills, you should be capable of implementing condition monitoring programs, utilizing smart technologies, and contributing to maintenance optimization and reliability improvement in a challenging manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities –

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance and condition-based monitoring (CBM) programs to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

• Conduct condition monitoring inspections, analyze equipment performance data, and prepare detailed reports with actionable recommendations.

• Support the integration of AI-based solutions, smart technologies, and advanced sensor systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and maintenance practices.

• Plan and coordinate manpower allocation, daily maintenance activities, and major plant shutdown maintenance operations.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation in line with organizational standards.

Candidate Profile –

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance engineering, condition monitoring, or reliability engineering roles.

• Practical knowledge and experience in bearing analysis and thermographic image analysis.

• Familiarity with AI applications in maintenance, sensor-based monitoring systems, and automated manufacturing equipment.

• Sound understanding of steam engineering principles will be an added advantage.

• Previous experience in the textile manufacturing industry will be considered an advantage.
