Junior Finance Manager
Job Summary
Reporting directly to the management, this role takes full ownership of the company's day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensures compliance with Singapore's statutory and tax requirements, and provides financial support for management's business decisions. This position is ideal for candidates who are diligent, proactive learners, and aspire to grow into a more senior finance leadership role as the company develops.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently handle full set of accounts (AP, AR, GL), including month-end and year-end closing
- Prepare monthly management reports, cash flow forecasts, and budget-vs-actual analysis for management's reference
- Manage GST filing, corporate income tax (ECI and Form C-S/C) submissions, and withholding tax matters, ensuring compliance with IRAS requirements
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, banks, and government agencies (IRAS, ACRA, EDB, etc.)
- Assist in applying for and following up on government grants (e.g., EDG and other startup-related support schemes)
- Support management in preparing fundraising-related financial documents and due diligence materials
- Establish and improve internal financial systems, policies, and processes suitable for a startup
- Undertake other finance and administrative duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or professional qualification (ACCA / CA Singapore; candidates currently pursuing the qualification are also welcome)
- 1–4 years of relevant accounting / finance experience; experience in SMEs, startups, or technology companies preferred
- Familiar with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST, and corporate income tax regulations; familiarity with IRAS e-filing systems is a plus
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Kingdee) and Microsoft Excel
- Meticulous, hands-on, and able to work independently in a lean team environment
- Strong sense of responsibility and integrity, with a willingness to learn beyond the job scope
- Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin
