Junior Fire Sprinkler Designer

Position Summary:We are seeking a motivated Junior Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our design team. This entry-level position supports the development of fire sprinkler system layouts, drawings, and project documentation under the guidance of experienced designers and engineers. Responsibilities:

Assist with preparing fire sprinkler system layouts and drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
Support the design team with project documentation, submittals, permits, and closeout packages.
Review work orders, drawings, and project specifications.
Coordinate design revisions and updates based on project requirements.
Maintain accurate project records and drawing files.
Assist with basic calculations, measurements, and drafting tasks.
Work with engineering and design staff to support project completion.

Requirements:

Associate degree, technical coursework, or relevant experience in drafting, engineering, construction, or a related field preferred.
Basic AutoCAD or CAD software experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to fire protection, sprinkler, or construction industries.
Familiarity with NFPA 13 standards.
Previous drafting or CAD experience.
Hydraulic calculations
Hydrant flow testing
