Junior Front-End Developer
Summary
Develop maintainable React/TypeScript frontend code for live casino games, participating in code reviews and implementing components within an established architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Writing clear, reliable, and maintainable frontend code, with guidance from senior teammates.
- Participating in code reviews - both receiving feedback and, as you grow, reviewing peers' code.
- Collaborating with the Product Owner and team to clarify requirements for the features you build.
- Implementing components within an established architecture - including reading and working with dependency-injected services.
- Writing and maintaining unit tests for the code you write.
- Growing your understanding of code quality, performance, and scalability in a large-scale, real-time frontend product.
- 0.5–1.5 years of hands-on experience with React (internships, personal/pet projects, bootcamp, or professional experience all count).
- Solid JavaScript fundamentals.
- Working experience with TypeScript, comfortable in a strict typed codebase.
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Ability to read and follow existing code patterns/conventions.
- Familiarity with how HTTP works.
- Some experience with unit testing (Jest, Jasmine, or similar)
- Intermediate English (comfortable reading docs and communicating with the team).
- A proactive learner, comfortable asking questions.
- Exposure to state management libraries (MobX, Redux, or similar), we use MobX with observables/actions throughout.
- Familiarity with RxJS or other reactive/observable/stream patterns, our backend communication is gRPC-web streams wrapped in RxJS.
- Awareness of dependency injection concepts (we use InversifyJS extensively).
- Understanding of WebSocket-based or real-time streaming apps.
- Interest in multi-platform products (desktop and mobile web).
- Experience with Sass/SCSS or another CSS preprocessor.
- Curiosity about SVG/canvas graphics libraries (PixiJS or KonvaJS).
