Overview
Our team is seeking an early-career Full Stack Developer who is passionate about building scalable web applications and learning modern software development practices. In this role, you'll develop user-facing applications with React and Node.js, create backend services using Java and Spring Boot, and work with MySQL databases. You'll also gain exposure to cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure, automated deployment processes, and collaborative Agile development environments.
Required Qualifications
- Up to 2 years of software development experience through work, internships, co-op placements, or personal projects.
- Foundational knowledge of Java and Spring Boot application development.
- Experience building or supporting applications using React and Node.js.
- Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL, preferably with MySQL.
- Familiarity with source control tools such as Git.
- Interest in modern DevOps practices, including automated build and deployment pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and container technologies such as Azure and Docker.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit or Jest.
- Knowledge of API design standards and documentation tools like OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Understanding of secure coding principles and application security fundamentals.
- Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
