Junior Game Designer

You will research and analyze top industry games, conceptualize unique and engaging game concepts, perform extensive playtesting to fine-tune mechanics and balance game economies, produce comprehensive design documents and scripts, collaborate with developers, artists, copywriters and UI/UX designers, and iterate on designs to meet stakeholder objectives.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze top industry games and report findings
• Conceptualize unique and engaging game concepts that meet stakeholder objectives
• Perform extensive playtesting at all planning stages to fine-tune mechanics, balance economies, and observe player behavior
• Collaborate with developers, copywriters, and UI/UX designers to produce high-quality games
• Develop system designs and scripts and balance game features within timelines
• Create comprehensive game design documents and specifications
• Iterate and tune designs with engineers and artists

Requirements

• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
• Diploma or degree in a related game design discipline
• Preferably 1 year experience in the video game industry; fresh graduates welcome
• Comprehensive knowledge and interest in the mobile social gaming industry
• Understanding of mobile social gaming market and target audiences
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent communication and active listening skills
• Creative and positive problem-solving perspective
• Well-versed in fantasy, anime and manga (preferred)
• Avid gamer and passionate about games (preferred)
• Strong team ethic and receptive to feedback (preferred)
• Experience in developing or publishing mobile RPGs (preferred)
• Experience in math and economy balancing (preferred)
