Junior Golang Developer

Salary: £21,500 - 73,000 per year

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of professional software development experience
• Solid experience with Go
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Strong engineering fundamentals and a solid delivery background
• Good understanding of web fundamentals, including HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Go
• Work closely with senior engineers and product teams to translate requirements into working features
• Build and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs, databases, and backend services
• Support the ongoing performance, scalability, and security of backend systems
• Work with AWS cloud infrastructure to deploy and maintain services

We are hiring a Junior Backend Developer to join our engineering team as we invest heavily in modernising our platforms with scalable, cloud-native architecture. You will work primarily in Go and AWS to build and maintain the APIs and services powering our platforms. This is a permanent position based in London, with 1–2 days per week on-site, and a salary of £70,000 to £80,000.
