The Role
This is a true entry-level role, perfect for someone looking to kickstart their career in IT. We don't expect you to know everything on day one!
Working closely with the ICT Manager, you will be the friendly first point of contact for our staff when they need technical help. You will manage our IT Help Desk, learn to keep our network and infrastructure running smoothly, and help us roll out system improvements. If you have a passion for technology, love helping people, and are eager to learn on the job, this is the role for you.
What You'll Be Doing
· Being the First Point of Contact: Answer IT Help Desk calls and assist staff with their day-to-day computer issues.
· Managing Tickets: Log, track, and update support requests in our system, making sure staff are kept in the loop.
· Basic Troubleshooting: Figure out why things aren't working and attempt to fix them.
· Escalating the Tricky Stuff: If a problem is too complex, you'll pass it on to the ICT Manager or our external vendors.
· Setting Up Hardware & Users: Help set up standard computers for staff, update apps, and grant user access (like setting up new accounts) once approved.
· System Maintenance: Help roll out software updates and patches to keep our systems secure.
· Telephones: Do basic troubleshooting for our phone systems and pass on bigger issues to the provider.
What You Need (Essential)
· A Solid IT Foundation: A basic understanding of everyday tech, including Windows 10, Office 365, and OneDrive.
· Keen to Learn: A basic grasp (or a willingness to learn) of backend tools like Active Directory, DHCP/DNS, and PowerShell.
· Great Communication: You need to be approachable and able to explain technical fixes in plain English to non-tech staff.
· Team Spirit: A self-motivated attitude with the ability to work well in a team.
· The Essentials: A valid Driver’s Licence and your own vehicle (for occasional local site visits), plus a National Police Clearance.
Nice to Have (Desirable)
Don't worry if you don't tick these boxes, they are just a bonus!
· A recent TAFE certificate or entry-level qualification in Information Technology.
· Any previous exposure to VOIP phone systems, Azure, or SharePoint.
· Basic knowledge of managed networking (Dell/Netgear), print management (like Papercut), or backup software (like Veeam).
The Perks
· Maximise Your Pay: Salary packaging up to $18,550 to pay for everyday expenses (rent, mortgage, holidays) tax-free.
· Extra Tax Benefits: Options for novated car leasing and packaging work-related or self-education expenses.
· Convenience: Our Osborne Park office has close access to public transport.
· Support: Free, confidential access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
· Culture: Work within a passionate, dynamic, and supportive team environment.
