Junior Industrial Engineer - Data Analysis

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection and analysis of production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Support senior engineers in conducting process analyses, time studies, and workflow evaluations.
• Help develop and update process documentation, including flowcharts and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Contribute to the implementation of process improvement projects under supervision.
• Prepare reports and presentations on findings and recommendations for operational enhancements.
• Collaborate with production staff and other team members to gather information and implement solutions.
• Learn and apply industrial engineering methodologies, tools, and software.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving sessions.
• Ensure all tasks are performed with attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Assist in tracking the performance and impact of implemented improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong foundational knowledge of industrial engineering principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
• Basic understanding of data analysis techniques and statistical concepts.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Detail-oriented with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field of industrial engineering.
• Ability to work on-site in Bloemfontein, Free State .
• Familiarity with process mapping or simulation software is a plus.
