Junior Instrument Technician

Summary

Assists with installing, calibrating, and maintaining field instruments like transmitters and control valves in an onshore oil & gas facility, following ADNOC safety protocols.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, level, and flow transmitters.

  • Support senior technicians in routine maintenance, loop checking, signal testing, and basic troubleshooting of instruments and control systems.

  • Follow instructions to carry out maintenance tasks on devices such as control valves, RTDs, thermocouples, and pneumatic instruments.

  • Learn to read and interpret instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring drawings).

  • Ensure tools and testing devices are prepared and maintained in good working condition.

  • Maintain housekeeping and comply with site safety standards and ADNOC protocols during all work activities.

  • Accurately document work performed and escalate any abnormalities or issues to senior staff.



Requirements

  • ADNOC project experience is mandatory (onshore preferred).

  • Experience in maintenance and support tasks related to onshore oil & gas environments.

  • Diploma/ITI or technical certification in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field.

  • Ability to follow technical instructions, basic safety awareness, and willingness to learn.

  • Understanding of PPE, permit-to-work systems, and safe working practices in hazardous areas.
