Junior IT Architect
Description
Your role
Bring your curiosity to work as our next (Junior) IT Architect within Power Technique IT. You will help turn our architecture framework into something teams can use in their day-to-day work, applying the methodology and standards set within PT Enterprise Architecture across initiatives in our decentralized organization.
Your focus will be on managing our application and technology landscape and building a strong community of IT solution architects. You will map the landscape, identify overlap and lifecycle risks, facilitate architecture workshops and sessions, and connect the right stakeholders around clear and reliable architectural information.
You will report to the Manager Architecture, Resilience and IT Integration and coach IT colleagues across different delivery teams worldwide. This is a non-authoritative role where you create impact through preparation, clarity and credibility.
Your day-to-day
-
Maintain an accurate and reliable overview of the Power Technique application and technology landscape in our Enterprise Architecture tooling.
-
Analyse the application portfolio for redundancy, technical debt, lifecycle risks and costs, and translate insights into concrete rationalization proposals.
-
Review and improve architecture guidelines, principles, standards and best practices, while following up on architectural risks and agreed initiatives.
-
Prepare, facilitate and document architecture workshops and PT IT Architecture sessions, including decision materials and follow-up actions.
-
Build and support a community of IT architects across Power Technique to exchange knowledge, align on design questions and learn from one another.
-
Communicate architectural choices and their consequences to delivery teams, IT leadership and business stakeholders, and contribute to cross-division and Group IT forums.
Your skills and experience
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, combined with approximately 2 to 5 years of experience in architecture, solution design or a comparable IT role.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and tools such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, LeanIX or Ardoq. Certification is not required, but you should be comfortable modelling and maintaining an architecture landscape.
- Experience with application portfolio analysis and the discipline to keep architectural data accurate and up to date.
- A solid understanding of cloud service models such as IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, as well as Agile and DevOps ways of working.
- Awareness of data products, AI in business processes, and data governance, security and privacy-by-design principles.
- Experience in a global corporate or industrial/manufacturing environment is a plus.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every requirement. We value different experiences and perspectives and are curious to learn what you can bring to the role.
