Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior IT Engineer to support our IT security compliance initiatives and provide hands-on technical support across the organization. This role is critical in maintaining a secure and compliant IT environment, ensuring devices meet security standards, and delivering responsive desktop and asset support.

Key Responsibilities

Security Compliance & Endpoint Management

- Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Ensure all devices are properly enrolled and compliant with Microsoft Intune policies.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining endpoint protection, encryption, and patching strategies.
- Support compliance audits like SOC2 Type II, HITRUST, and ISO, and maintain documentation for security controls and remediation actions.

IT Support (Desktop & Laptop)

- Provide L1 and L2 support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-users, both onsite and remotely.
- Handle device assignment, setup, and configuration for new and existing employees.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and basic Active Directory tasks.

IT Asset Management

- Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets including laptops, desktops, accessories, and licenses.
- Track asset lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning.
- Ensure devices are tagged, documented, and compliant with internal assets policies.
Operational Support

- Assist in onboarding/offboarding processes including device provisioning and access setup.
- Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to support infrastructure and security projects



Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint, and Windows OS.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and endpoint management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications

- Certifications such as MD-102, SC-900, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, M365) and scripting (PowerShell).
- Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems and ITIL practices.


Key Skills Required

- Proficiency in Microsoft Intune and Defender for Endpoint.
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with Office 365 and endpoint management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to manage IT assets and maintain compliance.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, M365) and scripting (PowerShell) is a plus.
