Junior IT Support Analyst
You will provide first-line support through helpdesk, email, telephone, and in-person channels. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and Microsoft 365 issues; configure Windows laptops, trading workstations, iPhones, and iPads; manage user accounts and endpoints; support onboarding and offboarding; track IT assets; maintain meeting room technology; document fixes; and uphold security and compliance standards. You will also perform office IT moves and equipment installations while developing your infrastructure and security knowledge through training and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line IT support through the helpdesk portal, email, telephone, and in person.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Outlook, printer, and conferencing issues.
- Deliver remote support for hybrid and international users.
- Document resolutions and contribute to the IT knowledge base.
- Manage new starter and leaver provisioning and deprovisioning.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain Windows laptops and multi-screen trading workstations.
- Set up and support Apple Business Manager devices.
- Manage users and endpoints through Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365.
- Perform office IT moves and workstation deployments.
- Support meeting room audio-visual and conferencing equipment.
- Track IT assets and manage equipment retirement and disposal.
- Maintain endpoint compliance and security standards.
- Support IT operational improvements and process documentation.
- Adhere to IT security policies in a regulated financial services environment.
- Support audit activities, operational resilience, and business continuity.
Requirements
- Around one year of experience in IT support, service desk, or desktop support, or a strong placement or internship.
- Comfort setting up and troubleshooting Windows laptops.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Clear communication skills and comfort asking questions and taking direction.
- Organisation, reliability, and willingness to perform hands-on physical work.
- Willingness to learn and build a long-term IT career.
- Exposure to Microsoft Intune, Apple Business Manager, or other device management tools is desirable.
- Interest in financial services or another regulated environment is desirable.
- A degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline is desirable.
- Interest in Microsoft or other vendor certifications is desirable.
