As a Junior Java Engineer, you join a fast-growing investment team focused on building scalable trading infrastructure. You’ll help design and deploy a new trading architecture and cloud-native microservices that support model execution in AWS. You work closely with a collaborative engineering group, sharing knowledge and automating where possible. This role offers exposure to trading data flows, asset management processes, and a culture that rewards technical excellence and learning.

Responsibilities
- Create a new trading architecture for model execution
- Design, develop, test and deploy microservices in AWS
- Support other business units with data queries and tool-building
- Collaborate in paired, highly collaborative environment to solve complex problems
- Improve architecture and processes through ongoing collaboration
- Prototype new concepts and technologies
- Move toward automation and knowledge sharing for continuity
Key requirements
- First Class Degree
- Strong Core Java skills
- Some Financial Services experience; understanding of options pricing basics
- Ideally Cloud Architecture or cloud deployment experience
- Understanding of computing fundamentals
- Experience with or exposure to cloud platforms (AWS)
