Junior Kotlin / Java Software Engineer - New Product (m/f/x)
Summary
Junior backend engineer joining a cross-functional team building a new product for a fast-growing European neo-broker. Day-to-day work involves Kotlin/Java, SQL, GraphQL, Spring Boot, Docker, AWS and Terraform, using agile practices, CI/CD and cloud infrastructure, based in Munich or Berlin.
- Be part of a highly motivated cross-functional team, which focuses on the expansion of our new product
- Build and run one of the fastest growing neo-brokers in Europe
- Get to work on cutting edge technology and be part of modern software development practices (e.g. agile and self-sufficient teams, continuous integration and deployment, test automation, cloud-based infrastructure and tooling)
This role can be based in Berlin or Munich.
- A university degree in a relevant field of study (e.g. computer science, engineering, sciences, ...) or a comparable qualification.
- Exposure and/or interest in our tech stack: Kotlin, Java, SQL, GraphQL, Docker, Spring Boot, AWS, Terraform
- A clear and structured approach to problem-solving and day-to-day work. You are comfortable breaking down challenges into smaller steps, asking the right questions, and bringing clarity to your work.
- Strong analytical thinking, both in the technical and in the product domain.
- Excellent communication skills that are clear, concise, and targeted towards your audience - engineering, product, or other stakeholders.
- A passion for well architected, testable and documented code.
- Experience with domain-driven design and distributed architectures and/or microservices is a plus.
- Background in financial services is a strong plus.
