Junior Legal Counsel

1.Litigation • Monitoring Case Progress: Regularly track the progress of all case proceedings. Identifying both the procedural requirements as well as stances raised by all relevant direct or indirect parties and authorities. • Procedural Compliance: Prioritizing matters pertaining to procedural compliance as per Saudi Arabian Law with effective recording, reporting and anticipation of procedural way forward – as well as suggestion of correction of any procedure not correctly followed. Must hence be well versed with procedural understanding of Saudi Arabian law. • Case Attendance: Attending and defending all Company cases within the Courts of Law as permitted according to the guidelines and strategy directed. 2. Research • Case Law: Researching upon merits as per direction of Senior Counsel - this may involve deeply researching both in English and in Arabic with regards to Saudi Arabian, Middle East and International Case Law. This will also include researching merits through other sources such as journals, articles and books. • Analyzing Merit: Ability to analyze merits of the assignments which may be inclusive of Substantive, Procedural, Technical, Quantum and Ethical merit. 3. Drafting • Cases: Drafting as per direction of Senior Counsel whilst also providing anticipatory suggestions bearing in mind relevant requirements and obligations. This will include drafting in both English and Arabic, ensuring the drafts are legally accurate and tally with each other whilst providing suggestions which would assist in avoiding prejudice to the Company’s position. • Translations: Accurate Translations would be required from English to Arabic, as well as from Arabic to English without losing meaning, as per direction of Senior Counsel. • Other Assignments: May be required to produce Research documents to effectively align with direction. 4. Other Work: • Liaison with relevant authorities and people to keep up to date and record findings. • Being part of Settlement Meetings and part of Alternative Dispute Resolution dynamics. • Presenting individually or as part of a delegation. • May include national or international assignments. 5. Fields of Law • All relevant fields of law (direct or indirect) with regard to Company matters.

• A bachelor’s degree in law (mandatory) • A fully eligible Lawyer with a valid Saudi Arabian practicing license (mandatory) • Able to demonstrate excellent communication skill in both English and in Arabic with regards to Reading, Writing and Speaking (mandatory) • Understands Saudi Arabian Rules of Procedure (mandatory) • Understands Saudi Arabian Law (mandatory) • Ability to accurately Translate from English to Arabic, and Arabic to English (mandatory) • Strong ability to Draft accurately in both English and Arabic (mandatory) • Strong ability to Research Saudi Arabian, Middle East and International Case Law (mandatory)
