Junior Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities

• Support the company’s market expansion and business operations across assigned markets by conducting legal and regulatory research and providing practical legal advice.
• Provide day-to-day legal support on commercial matters, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and local regulatory requirements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, business contracts, platform policies, and other legal documents.
• Identify and assess legal and compliance risks arising from business activities, and work closely with internal stakeholders to develop practical solutions.
• Support the handling of complex or sensitive matters, including employee relations, customer disputes, complaints, regulatory issues, and other unexpected incidents.
• Monitor changes in local laws, regulations, and regulatory policies, and communicate key developments and implications to relevant business teams.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel and other professional advisors where necessary.
• Develop and deliver legal and compliance guidelines and training to business teams to strengthen overall compliance awareness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Law from a reputable university.
• 1–3 years of relevant legal experience, ideally gained in an internet/platform company, technology company, multinational corporation, or reputable law firm.
• Strong interest in technology, innovation, and fast-paced commercial environments.
• Solid understanding of commercial contracts, regulatory matters, and general corporate legal issues.
• Ability to independently identify and assess legal risks and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred

• Experience supporting businesses across multiple jurisdictions or markets.
• Prior experience in a technology, internet platform, fintech, e-commerce, or other fast-growing business.
• Experience working with external counsel and regulatory authorities.
