Junior Lighting Designer

Summary:

Julian Grey’s client is a specialised lighting design consultancy firm.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing lighting design concepts that align with the architectural vision and client brief.
• Prepare lighting layouts, fixture schedules and design documentation across project stages.
• Research and specify lighting fixtures and controls suited to project requirements and budget.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, suppliers and other project stakeholders on design and technical requirements.
• Support tender and construction documentation.
• Attend project meetings, site visits and design reviews.
• Assist with on-site lighting focusing, testing and commissioning as required.

Requirements

• Diploma in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop.
• Familiarity with SketchUp, Revit or lighting calculation software would be advantageous.
• A portfolio showcasing relevant lighting design projects is required.
