Job responsibilities include troubleshooting, implementing and administering all Linux components and systems. Looking for a candidate who can understand and troubleshoot enterprise scale Linux environments, with some networking experience and knowledge as it partains to Linux. We are seeking a candidate to operate as a Level 1 Linux Administer for Conduent's Global Command Center. Some percentage of the work will be on Windows Servers as well. Training can be provided for this if needed.

Work Schedule: Either (Sunday - Thursday) or (Tuesday - Saturday) 6am - 2:30pm, candidate's choice

Required Qualifications / Abilities:

• Experience working with enterprise Linux operating systems
• Excellent documentation skills
• Ability to perform job function with minimal supervision
• Respond to automated alerts regarding system faults
• Document work performed in enterprise ticketing system (ServiceNow)
• Engage in priority tickets for initial triage and troubleshooting
• Positive attitude toward learning new technologies
• Must be able to pass a drug test and federal background check
• Works well with a team and external resources

Secondary Qualifications:

• Red Hat certifications: (RHCSA)
• Comptia Linux+
• LPI (any)
• Experience with monitoring software (SolarWinds)
• 2 year degree in IT, or equivalent work experience
• Experience working with Windows Server environments
