YOUR MISSION
The key focus of this position is to manage overall inventory by driving the purchasing process for PUMA GCC, using an overall view of inbound, inventory, and tracking Open-To-Buy utilisation. This position will liaise closely with the Planning and Merchandising teams to ensure stock arrives in accordance with launch dates, and with the Logistics teams on specific inbound requirements.
Purchasing & Order Management:
- Oversee the full order processing cycle, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Execute purchasing activities based on approved demand and buying plans.
- Coordinate and ensure timely creation and placement of purchase orders.
- Monthly checking of open purchase orders against OTB.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Merchandising, Logistics, Customer Service, Order Fulfillment and vendors to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
Demand & Supply Coordination
- Work closely with Merchandising to translate market requirements into purchasing needs.
- Support seasonal buying and forecast processes.
- Highlight significant changes in demand and potential supply implications.
- Monitor inventory development, including free available stock, and support inventory balancing and availability initiatives.
Orderbook & Supply Management
- Work with factories to track POs until they are ready for shipment.
- Provide regular visibility of open orders, delays and supply risks.
- Coordinate with Global Supply Chain teams on delivery delays, shortages, allocations and order changes.
- Drive follow-up actions to minimize supply disruptions and cancellations.
System & Analytics
- Maintenance of Product Master data and ensuring its accuracy.
- Upload and maintain prices in SAP.
- Track and analyse key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare regular purchasing, orderbook and supply-performance reports.
- Analyze deviations in delivery, quantities, cancellations and availability.
- Identify recurring issues and propose practical process improvements.
- Maintain accurate KPI reporting and support continuous improvement initiatives.
YOUR TALENT
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant studies.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of working experience. Preferably candidates from the Retail/Wholesale industry.
Capabilities:
- Strong working knowledge of SAP; solid skills in Microsoft Excel. Power BI an advantage.
- Business-level written & verbal communication skills
