Junior Manager Sustainability Assurance
Role purpose: Support the delivery of sustainability assurance engagements by helping evaluate sustainability disclosures, controls, and reporting processes to improve accuracy, compliance, and stakeholder trust. Key responsibilities - Assist in planning and executing sustainability assurance projects across ESG topics and reporting frameworks. - Perform testing of data, processes, and internal controls supporting sustainability metrics and narratives. - Collect, validate, and analyze evidence; document workpapers and conclusions to assurance standards. - Support readiness assessments for external assurance and regulatory reporting requirements. - Collaborate with client stakeholders to clarify data owners, methodologies, and calculation logic. - Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities; contribute to practical recommendations. - Help prepare deliverables, presentations, and status updates for project leadership. Required skills and qualifications - Education: Bachelor's degree in sustainability, accounting, finance, engineering, environmental science, or a related field. - Core skills: Data analysis, attention to detail, documentation, and structured problem-solving. - Knowledge: ESG concepts and sustainability reporting (e.g., GRI, SASB/ISSB, TCFD, CSRD/ESRS) and assurance principles. - Tools: Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with analytics and reporting tools is a plus. - Soft skills: Clear communication, teamwork, and ability to manage deadlines in a client-facing environment.
