OUR VISION AND MISSION
BluLever Education is empowering Africa’s artisans with skills for the future. BluLever achieves this through holistic vocational education and skills training that creates ethical industry professionals of a global standard. BluLever’s Braamfontein Campus, focused on plumbing apprenticeships, launched in early 2021.

WHERE WE ARE NOW
BluLever Education is preparing Africa for the 4th industrial revolution by mobilising a movement of 5 million artisans as active citizens. We currently offer plumbing apprenticeships for 5 cohorts of 30 students per year, as well as various other artisan training products such as the MakersHub - an incubation hub that supports small businesses in their journey to growth, formalisation and stability. The Blulever team is growing fast, with many more opportunities for growth.

WHO ARE WE (YOU?)
We’re not just building another company; we’re building an institution, a movement that will outlast us all. The road will not be easy, but the impact will be monumental. We need open-minded, people-oriented, passionate, multi-skilled, hardworking individuals to join the team and help us build the future of Africa.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Junior Marketing Associate, you will support the implementation of BluLever’s growth marketing and student recruitment strategy at the Cape Town campus. You will capture photographs and videos, create basic social media content and help identify learner, alumni, facilitator, employer and partner stories. You will support Open Days, campus tours, school visits, career expos, community activities and other events while coordinating local collateral, branding and signage requirements. You will work closely with the Head Office Marketing team, campus leadership and Student Recruitment to ensure that campus content and activities are accurate, well organised and aligned with BluLever’s brand and communication standards.

WHAT YOU NEED
For this role, you will need to have approximately one to three years of relevant work experience. A qualification or experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, media, public relations or content creation will be beneficial. Basic photography, video and social media content-creation skills are important, as well as familiarity with tools such as Canva or similar platforms. You will need strong communication, organisation, proofreading and file-management skills and must be comfortable engaging with students, staff members, employers, partners and community stakeholders. If you are creative, willing to learn, comfortable receiving feedback and passionate about education and youth development, then we’re looking for you!
