Junior MES Consultant:
Do you want to help
leading life sciences companies accelerate digital manufacturing and drive
operational excellence through MES solutions?
To strengthen our
Smart Manufacturing team in Europe, we are looking for a German-speaking
Junior MES Consultant with a pharmaceutical/life sciences
background and a strong interest in IT/technology,
including MES, manufacturing systems, and integrations. You do not need
extensive MES platform experience to apply.
At NNIT, we help
customers improve manufacturing processes through digitalization,
standardization, and modern technologies. Our Smart Manufacturing team works
closely with global pharmaceutical companies on both local and international
MES programs—supporting everything from strategy and design to implementation
and optimization.
You will join an
international team of experienced consultants who combine deep industry insight
with strong technical expertise to deliver solutions in complex, regulated
production environments.
Your responsibilities:
As a Junior MES
Consultant, you will support MES deliveries and contribute to our customers’
digital manufacturing journey. Depending on your interest and development plan,
your tasks may include:
Supporting customer workshops and
discussions related to MES use cases, goals, and requirements
Participating in analysis of manufacturing
and production processes within life sciences
Supporting MES implementation work under
guidance from senior consultants
Collecting, structuring, and
documenting business requirements and translating them
into clear functional descriptions
Supporting activities related to solution/vendor
assessments (e.g., preparing materials, documenting findings)
Assisting with interfaces and
integration topics between MES, ERP (e.g., SAP), and automation
systems
Collaborating with stakeholders
across production, quality, engineering/automation, and IT
Contributing to project documentation and
ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory expectations
Taking part in knowledge sharing and
learning activities within the Smart Manufacturing team
Your qualifications and experience:
We are looking for a
junior profile with a life sciences mindset, strong curiosity for technology,
and the ability to learn quickly in structured project environments.
Degree in IT, Engineering,
Science, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field (or
equivalent relevant education)
Background from the pharmaceutical/life
sciences domain (e.g., studies, work experience, internships, or
projects)
Basic understanding of manufacturing
concepts in regulated environments (GxP awareness is a plus)
Interest in (and willingness to learn
about) MES, IT/OT concepts, and data/integration topics
Basic understanding of IT systems and
integrations
Strong communication and stakeholder
skills
Structured and well-organized approach to
work
Ability to work both independently and in
international teams
Strong documentation habits and a
constructive problem-solving mindset
Fluent communication skills in German and
English — only
candidates with business fluency in German can be considered, so please
apply only if you meet this requirement
What we offer:
At NNIT, you will become part of a professional and collaborative environment where knowledge sharing, trust, and development are highly valued.
Opportunity to work with leading life sciences companies across Europe
Challenging and meaningful projects within digital manufacturing and smart production
International and highly skilled colleagues with strong industry expertise
Flexible working conditions with focus on work life balance
Competitive salary and benefits package
Access to professional training and certification opportunities
Clear framework for career and personal development
Informal and collaborative company culture with strong team spirit
Location and travel:
We are hiring into our European team in the UK or any EU country in which NNIT has a business entity - Germany, Denmark, Czechia, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain or Switzerland
Travel should be expected but will typically remain below 20 percent and limited to necessary business trips
• Fluency in oral and written English and German are both essential to be considered for this role
• Additional language skills are advantageous but not essential
