Module configuration & setup
Assist in the configuration of core finance modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Fixed Assets.
Support the setup of legal entities, charts of accounts, and financial dimensions.
Help configure tax engines and currency exchange requirements for multi-national clients.
Data & reporting
Use the Data Management Framework (DIXF) to assist in migrating legacy financial data into D365.
Help create and maintain financial reports using Financial Reporting (Management Reporter) and Power BI.
Support the development of SSRS reports for business documents (invoices, packing slips, etc.).
Business analysis & testing
Participate in "Fit-Gap" analysis to identify where standard D365 functionality meets or misses client needs.
Document Functional Design Documents (FDDs) for custom features (extensions) that require a developer's touch.
Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and support users during UAT to ensure the books balance at year-end.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is often preferred over a pure IT degree for this specific role.
Familiarity with Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Azure DevOps for project tracking.
Prior experience with Dynamics AX, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operation, SAP, Oracle.
Knowledge in specific systems/tools.
Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 F&O, Finance & Operation.
