Junior / Mid-Level DevOps Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate cloud deployments, and support containerized apps using Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes for a global outsourcing firm.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD and Release Management
Assist in building, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
Support source control, branching strategies, and deployment processes across development and testing environments.
Help automate build, testing, and deployment workflows to improve software delivery.
Cloud and Infrastructure
Assist in provisioning and maintaining Azure cloud resources using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
Support the management of Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and access permissions.
Monitor cloud resources and recommend improvements to performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Containerization and Platform Support
Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Assist in managing container registries and platform services used by development teams.
Help troubleshoot deployment and environment-related issues.
Monitoring, Security & Operations
Assist in implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar platforms.
Follow DevOps security best practices, including access management and secure deployment processes.
Support compliance with internal security standards and operational procedures.
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with software developers, QA engineers, and operations teams to support application deployments and platform stability.
Assist in troubleshooting build, deployment, and infrastructure issues in development and test environments.
Participate in incident resolution and continuous improvement activities.
Automation & Continuous Improvement
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive operational tasks.
Stay up to date with DevOps tools, cloud technologies, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
Experience working with Docker and basic Kubernetes concepts.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar solutions.
Scripting experience using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Shell scripting.
Basic understanding of application deployment for .NET or Node.js applications.
Understanding of DevOps fundamentals, version control (Git), and software deployment processes.
Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related role.
Hands‑on experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and software deployment processes.
Experience working with Azure cloud services.
Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code and container technologies.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
Nice to Have
Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI‑assisted development tools.
Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
Experience with Kubernetes in production or staging environments.
Relevant Microsoft Azure, AWS, Terraform, or Kubernetes certifications are an advantage but not required.
