Role Overview

We are looking for a Junior Microsoft SQL Server Database Developer to join a project for a public institution in Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Write and modify stored procedures, functions, and views in T-SQL

  • Support the design and implementation of database structures

  • Participate in testing and debugging database solutions

  • Collaborate with the team on analyzing and optimizing existing queries

  • Document changes and implemented solutions

  • Support senior developers and administrators with ongoing development tasks

Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of T-SQL and relational database design principles

  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (commercial or project-based)

  • Basic familiarity with cloud environments (Azure) is a plus

  • Willingness to learn and grow in database development

  • English proficiency sufficient for work and communication (must have)

  • Proven track record of at least 3 completed projects within the last 3 years involving MS SQL Server database development

  • Experience with at least 2 completed projects focused on the maintenance and upkeep of MS SQL Server database systems

  • Experience with at least 1 completed larger-scale project involving the development and/or new build of an MS SQL Server database system

Nice to have

  • German language skills — candidates with at least a B1 level can qualify for a higher rate
