Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Microsoft SQL Server Database Developer to join a project for a public institution in Germany.
Responsibilities
Write and modify stored procedures, functions, and views in T-SQL
Support the design and implementation of database structures
Participate in testing and debugging database solutions
Collaborate with the team on analyzing and optimizing existing queries
Document changes and implemented solutions
Support senior developers and administrators with ongoing development tasks
Requirements
Basic to intermediate knowledge of T-SQL and relational database design principles
Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (commercial or project-based)
Basic familiarity with cloud environments (Azure) is a plus
Willingness to learn and grow in database development
English proficiency sufficient for work and communication (must have)
Proven track record of at least 3 completed projects within the last 3 years involving MS SQL Server database development
Experience with at least 2 completed projects focused on the maintenance and upkeep of MS SQL Server database systems
Experience with at least 1 completed larger-scale project involving the development and/or new build of an MS SQL Server database system
Nice to have
German language skills — candidates with at least a B1 level can qualify for a higher rate
