Junior Production Engineer
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Production Engineer to join our Production Engineering team. This hands-on role will support electronics and mechanical assembly activities, production documentation, quality processes, and continuous improvement initiatives. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their engineering career within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Support PCB assembly, soldering, wiring, mechanical assembly and production build activities.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of work instructions, assembly documentation and wiring diagrams.
- Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and quality control activities.
- Work with Engineering, Production and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
- Support prototype builds and provide feedback on manufacturability.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.

Desirables
- HNC, HND, apprenticeship, degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Previous exposure to a manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
- Basic knowledge of electronics assembly, soldering, wiring or mechanical fitting.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of quality and continuous improvement principles.
Location
This role requires you to work on-site at our modern manufacturing facility in Hereford - Before applying, please make sure you can commute to Coldwell Radio Station, Madley, Herefordshire, HR2 9NE
