Junior Production Engineer

To provide technical support across manufacturing processes and equipment, for Production, Quality, and Maintenance through continuous improvement, process optimization, problem solving, and the implementation of new products and processes.

• Support on the design, implementation, and optimisation of production processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement.
• Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during production.
• Collaborate with the R&I, Design Engineering and Asset Care teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
• Train and mentor production staff on best practices and new technologies introduced

• A proven record of a high standard of work and understanding of the processes / machines within Prima Dental
• Be able to follow instruction

Preferred:
You will be coached in the applicable points below when and if required to expand your capabilities.
• Degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Production Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Process capability measurement that drives improvement in safety, quality and cost.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software
• Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel spreadsheets
• Project Management capability
• Technical writing and documentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, structured and compliant documents aligned with quality system requirements.
