Management/Functional Responsibility:
Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the production activities to meet targets.
Supervise the production process, ensuring that products are produced on time and are of good quality.
Supervise, train, and manage production line employees. This may include hiring and training new employees, evaluation performance, and potentially disciplining staff.
Implement and enforce quality control programs and initiatives to ensure compliane with quality standards and regulations.
Monitor the production process to identify deviations from the norm and look for areas to improve in the production process.
Ensure all safety procedures are followed to create a safe working environment for employees. This includes conducting safety inspections and training staff on safety protocols.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure it's always in optimal working condition.
Diagnose production problems, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions. This may invovle liasing with other departments such as Quality Control or Maintenance.
Track, analyze, and report product data.
Monitor and report on productivity, throughoutn and other key production metrics.
Coordinate with the supply chain or logistics department to manage inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary production materials.
Assist in developing budgets for the production department and work to reduce costs and wastage.
