Junior Property Manager
A&K Elite Real Estate Services is seeking a motivated, organized, and professional Junior Property Manager to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a NYS-licensed real estate professional looking to expand their experience beyond leasing and develop a career in property management. The position will be involved in the full resident lifecycle, from leasing and move-in through renewals, tenant relations, collections, compliance, and move-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to leasing inquiries, conduct showings, and follow up with prospective tenants
- Assist with applications, lease preparation, move-ins, and leasing documentation
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and provide timely, professional communication
- Process lease renewals and follow up on upcoming expirations
- Monitor tenant balances and communicate regarding delinquent accounts
- Prepare and process 5-Day Notices, 14-Day Rent Demands, and other required notices
- Address and document lease violations, resident complaints, and compliance matters
- Process move-out notices and communicate move-out requirements to residents
- Conduct or assist with move-out inspections and documentation
- Work closely with the Maintenance Coordinator on unit turnovers and upcoming vacancies
- Maintain accurate resident records and documentation within the property management system
- Participate in property inspections and walkthroughs
- Work collaboratively with leasing, maintenance, accounting, and management
Qualifications
- Active New York State Real Estate Salesperson or Broker License REQUIRED
- Property management, leasing, or residential real estate experience preferred
- AppFolio or similar property management software experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable handling tenant concerns, collections, and difficult conversations professionally
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing and NY landlord-tenant practices preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
