Junior Proposal Manager
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Proposal Manager to join our team in a remote capacity.
In this role, you will play an essential part in driving ManTech’s growth across the Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Civilian agencies, and the Intelligence Community. Working alongside senior proposal managers, capture teams, and technical experts, you will support the full proposal lifecycle—helping build high-quality, compliant, and persuasive responses to federal solicitations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proposal Coordination: Assist with the end-to-end proposal lifecycle, including drafting compliance matrices, maintaining proposal schedules, creating outlines, and organizing team folders.
Content & Storyboarding: Coordinate with technical subject matter experts to gather, format, and edit compliant proposal content using ManTech templates and style guides.
Review & Production: Help facilitate color team reviews (Red, Gold, etc.), track reviewer feedback, and manage final document production and submission preparation.
Document & Tool Management: Maintain proposal documentation across collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Teams) and assist with proposal software tools (e.g., VisibleThread).
Process Improvement: Participate in post-submission debriefs, capture lessons learned, and assist in maintaining corporate boilerplate libraries and past performance archives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, and 2+ years of proposal development / coordination experience in a federal contracting environment.
Familiarity with the federal procurement lifecycle (RFIs, RFPs, Task Orders).
Strong writing, editing, formatting, and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and collaboration platforms (SharePoint, MS Teams).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience or internships with a large Federal Systems Integrator.
Basic familiarity with proposal management tools (e.g., VisibleThread) or AI writing assistants.
Understanding of core domain topics (Cyber, Data/AI, IT Services).
Foundation in the Shipley Process or APMP best practices (APMP Foundation certification is a plus).
Physical Requirements
Position is 100% remote. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time operating a workstation.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
